Margaret Hanbury founded The Hanbury Agency in 1983 at the suggestion of J. G. Ballard, who she continued to represent until his death in 2009. The agency represents its clients worldwide and works hard to arrange overseas publication of authors’ work. We are members of The Association of Authors’ Agents and have a reputation for reliability and success.
The client base ranges from novelists to historians, including popular culture and current affairs. The agency represents several professional ghostwriters and is experienced in forming successful partnerships.
Margaret Hanbury was named Literary Agent of the Year at The Bookseller Industry Awards 2013.
