Jane Glover
Jane Glover is one of Britain’s most renowned conductors. She read music at St Hugh’s College, Oxford and completed a D.Phil on seventeenth-century Venetian opera. Known as a Mozart specialist Jane has conducted all the major symphony and chamber orchestras in Britain, as well as in Europe, the US, Asia, and Australia. Her book, Mozart’s Women, was published, to great critical acclaim, in September 2005. It was nominated for both the Samuel Johnson Prize and the Whitbread Prize for Non-Fiction. In January 2009 Jane joined the Royal Academy of Music as Artistic Director of Opera and she is currently writing a book about Handel.
