Catherine Redfern

Educated at Durham University and University College London Catherine Redfern is founder of The F Word webzine, the UK's premier showcase of feminist opinion and commentary. The site is hugely influential in sparking new interest in feminism. In 2002 the site was commended by the Women in Publishing's New Venture Awards, and in 2003 Redfern was named by the Guardian as one of 50 ‘Women to Watch’. She co-founded London Third Wave, a networking group for young feminists, and established UK Feminist Action, a mailing list for feminist groups to post news of actions and events.

Catherine Redfern has been named by The Guardian as one of the ‘Next Famous Five Feminists’, and the book which she co-wrote with Kristin Aune, ‘Reclaiming The F Word’, was published by Zed Books in June 2010.

Catherine and Kristin are both available to speak on topics such as gender, women, feminism and contemporary religion.
