Catherine Redfern

Educated at Durham University and University College London Catherine Redfern is founder of The F Word webzine, the UK's premier showcase of feminist opinion and commentary. The site is hugely influential in sparking new interest in feminism. In 2002 the site was commended by the Women in Publishing's New Venture Awards, and in 2003 Redfern was named by the Guardian as one of 50 ‘Women to Watch’. She co-founded London Third Wave, a networking group for young feminists, and established UK Feminist Action, a mailing list for feminist groups to post news of actions and events.
